Vincenzo Natali
A master fantasist, Vincenzo Natali is no stranger to dystopic film narratives. He burst onto the scene in 1997 with a surreal sci-fi thriller called Cube and quickly followed it with two more, Cypher and Nothing. Each film thrusts ordinary humans into dark, futuristic realms, leaving them to struggle with the terms of their environment. Global acclaim for the features led to a varied career that took Vincenzo from the documentary Tideland to directing a segment in the film-à-sketch, Paris, je t’aime. He recently released his fourth feature, Splice, starring Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley.
